PC Game Pass saves are missing on a few games only

It would seem that the Save file is different depending on how you got the game. Since this is from PC Game Pass, kindly try to check this one:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\TeamCherry.15373CD61C66B_y4jvztpgccj42\SystemAppData\wgs\000901F9FB2891B8_0000000000000000000000007ABD14DB\

or

C:\Users'microsoft profile'\AppData\Local\Packages

Once located, kindly try to sign out and re-sign into your account and check if the saved data works.

If it didn't work try to uninstall and reinstall the game and check if it works.

To add, if he's only using a PC, you do not need Ultimate. Just Game Pass for PC. It will save you a few bucks.

Yes, i have the game for free through Game Pass on PC. I had already played a few hours of the game but when i go in to try to load my save on PC there is not an option to load save.

Game Pass Core would pretty much be useless on a PC. It's primarily to allow you to play games online, which is not required for that on PC. Core doesn't have as many games included with it as PC Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate and only a few of those might work on PC.

If you only have standard Game Pass, not Game Pass Ultimate, then you'd only be able to access Game Pass games that are available on the console. A few of those games are Play Anywhere and you may be able to access them on PC, but you'd need Game Pass Ultimate if you want both Game Pass for console and PC Game Pass or to use cloud gaming.
