PC Game Pass games don't open

Thanks for the update.

Do you mind sharing few details about our questions below:

1. Do you have antivirus, antimalware, VPN, firewall, proxy and PC Optimizer installed in your PC?
   
2. Are you part of Xbox Insider or PC Insider?
   
3. When you launch your Xbox app, is there a PC Game Pass subscriber word under your gamertag?
   

Please try this troubleshooting and see if issue persists:

On Microsoft Store, install Minecraft Launcher and/or Microsoft Sudoku.

Run system scans

Run a full system scan. This will check and restore corrupted system files.



In Windows search bar, search for Command Prompt and Run as Administrator.

Copy the command below one line at a time and paste it on Command Prompt:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

SFC /scannow

Launch Xbox app and select one game, please check if the game launches.

On Xbox app, select Minecraft Launcher and/or Microsoft Sudoku. See if it launches.

Perform Cleanboot - This will starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers or Microsoft related system and startup programs running on the background. That way you will be able to test the game or apps for any interference that could have cause the crash or the game/app issue.

1. Sign into your PC as administrator.
   
2. On Windows search bar search for: msconfig
   
3. Select System Configuration from the search results.
   
4. On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, click or tick the box for Hide all Microsoft services
   
5. Then click Disable All.
   
6. On Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, select Open Task Manager.
   
7. On Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select one item at a time and then click Disable.
   
8. Close Task Manager.
   
9. On Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap OK and then restart the computer.
   
10. Same with the steps at the top, launch Xbox app and select one game, please check if the game launches.
    
11. On Xbox app, select Minecraft Launcher and/or Microsoft Sudoku. See if it launches.

Sorry for the late reply, but I tried exactly as you asked and I still get the same error

Sorry to hear about your issue. Kindly try to delete all files in C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Local\Packages \Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache, and then reboot your pc.

This will only rescan all your downloaded files in just a few minutes then try launching your games again.

1. None of my games launched, but I specifically tried Disc Room, Forza Horizon 5, and TOEM, but the EA and Ubisoft apps do appear to work

2. I've tried opening the games both from a shortcut and through the Xbox app

3. The game titles are listed

4. They are both on the same account

5. The last time I was able to launch a game was about a month ago

6. The last change I remember making was adding a new email to my account and setting it as primary but I switched it back

7. I'm subscribed to PC Gamepass

8. I used to Xbox app, but I have also tried the MS store

Also, I don't know if this changes anything, but I am on Windows 11
