PC Game Pass game will not launch, crashes on splash screen

Trying to play Vampire Survivors on the PC Game Pass app, was able to play the game at launch but then the next day the game will just not launch. Trying to launch the game will just pop open the splash screen and then will just close with no error message at all.

Tried installing to other drives, repairing, resetting app, restarting computer, updating Xbox app, but nothing is working.

For this error code, try to use the System File Checker and DISM to repair broken, corrupted or missing system files:

Go to Start > Search for Command Prompt > Right Click > Run as Administrator. Run one command at a time:

sfc /scannow

chkdsk /r

chkdsk /f

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

If it still does not work, try to restore your Operational System via the ISO Image Tool. You will be able to maintain your installed games and files.

Download it > Open the ISO image tool > Open SETUP.exe > Select upgrade > Download from the cloud > Keep games and apps.

Thanks for the information, I tried all these but after restarting my computer the game is still behaving the same

I had this issue in the past with Hitman 3 when that first launched on Game Pass, but that was fixed by leaving the Insider version of the Game Pass app.

Now I'm not in the Insider app anymore, and Vampire Survivors is the only game I've had this issue with. And there are no errors that come with the crash, the game window just closes about 1 second after opening
