PC game pass game save data access

Hello Team

As the title says this is about being able to access my saved game progress that being saved to the cloud.

1. Is there a way to do this?, I need/want access to my game save data to backup and transfer to another PC.

2. Is there a way to turn this feature off?, it is annoying that because this is on the system will not generate local save file on the computer.

I have searched and read all over, and I am not alone in this. i keep coming across hundreds of posts of angry and desperate people asking for these answers.... only to be met with nothing helpful.

Important Notes:

1. This is for PC not XBox, don't reply with XBox related fixes, please!, I don't have nor want 1.

2. Moderators, please do not close/mark this thread as resolved until it is actually resolved, I keep coming across many closed threads with you guys stating that the issue has been resolved when it has clearly not been resolved.

closing/marking active issues/bugs as resolved when they are not does not help anyone, especially the MS gaming community.

I don't think you can access save files on Microsoft Store games. I believe all games are sandboxed so that users can't mess with the files. But for games that uses Xbox Live cloud saves, your progress will automatically sync across PCs.

Hi, Hazael2, I have a question, if your save files are on cloud, why you need to access them to transfer to another PC? you can simply login with your account an the saves will be synched, this is better than manually transfer files accross different PCs,
no?

Yes the data on the games save. So you will be able to access the saves again if you decide to purchase the games you were playing while using Game Pass.

If the game is Play Anywhere title all saved game are available in the cloud, if you run the game all saves are downloaded when you first run the game in PC. If the game is not a Play Anywhere title you wont be able to access the save data in PC.

1. I am using PC Game Pass on my gaming computer.

2. Yes, I played the game in February when I had game pass, and now I no longer have game pass.

3. Yes, I didn’t wanna pay $10 and have to download 80GB of content for a few megabytes of save data.

It’s unfortunate that my save data was removed from my computer just because I deleted the game. I still wanted the save data.
