(PC) Forza Horizon 4 Crashes on startup (no crash-report)

Specs for pc:

AMD Ryzen 7 1700

GTX 1070

16GB (2x8GB) 3200mhz DDR4

My virus scanned is F-Secure, I disabled that too

No other background programs than GeForce Experience

Forza Horizon 4 instantly crashes on startup. I have checked that Msi Afterburner is NOT running. Also stopped all pc hardware management softwares (fan and rgb controls). I have no idea why it is crashing. It crashed couple weeks ago, then I figured out
it was caused by RivaTuner software so I uninstalled that. Now the problem started again. I'm running out of 3rd party programs to uninstall (used task manager to check that they are not running).

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having an issue with Forza Horizon 4 crashing during start up on your Windows 10 PC. Have you made sure both your Xbox App and your Windows 10 OS are fully up to date?
With the booting questions I would suggest you fully power down the PC and leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes before powering back up. You can do the same to your networking equipment as well. Give those steps a try and let us know with a reply how

Windows Store needs a way to scan the installed game folder, verify the game integrity and fix issues. There isn't one and that's terrible.

Yes, my FH4 worked fine after a re-download.

I recently had a texture issue with The Division game on Steam. I used steam's own built in checking system, it fixed the issue with the game in a less that 10 minutes. Windows NEEDS THIS. I'm sure you'll agree.

Microsoft needs to make their store work better if it truly wants to release more PC games on its own store.

I had this same issue a few months ago, sadly I wasn't able to find an easy fix. Uninstalling and re-downloading fixed it for me.

Out of all the download store front systems there is, the Windows Store is currently the worst in my experience. Never have issues like this with Steam, Uplay, Origin and GoG.

By the way, it's still safe to have MSI Afterburner and RivaTuna installed on your PC. They won't interfere with Windows Store games applications, as long as they are not currently running in the background.

Try uninstalling/reinstalling the game. You might also try doing a cold boot on your PC.
