    PC constantly crashing while playing Fortnite


    My PC is constantly shutting down with the following error when I am playing games:

    Description:

    The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

    Occasionally, when my PC shuts off I cannot turn it back on for about 30 seconds but other times it shuts off and just restarts. I have one item in the Minidump folder from November that indicated that my Ethernet driver was the issue, and I uninstalled and reinstalled it with no benefit. Upon further inspection of the Event Viewer, I found that the following error occurs at the same time as the kernel-power error 41:

    The l1vhlwf service failed to start due to the following error: A hypervisor feature is not available to the user. Event ID 7000.

    I tried uninstalling the Ethernet driver completely, verifying my power supply is supplying enough voltage, added an extra fan to my PC, enabled SVM in BIOS, enabled Hypervision Platform from Control Panel, and nothing has worked so far. I also ran sfc /scannow in command prompt as admin and no problems were detected.

    I disabled the l1vhlwf Service in the Registry Editor and started a game of Fortnite and my PC shut off. However, this time I did not get error 7000 so I believe the issue may be something else.

    This error occurs much more frequently while playing Fortnite than any other game. This used to be a rare occurrence but recently my PC shuts off every game of Fortnite I play but I can play Lethal Company and PlateUp! without crashing. I'm unsure if Fortnite specifically has anything to do with this, but I also crashed once while playing Hogwarts Legacy.

    I play on PC and I only get an error message that says : "Fortnite has crashed. We're very sorry this happened and we are working towards preventing it in the future. You can get help online at Fortnite Technical Support."
