PC casting to xbox

Hi there, I've been wanting to stream my pc to my xbox one, I've downloaded wireless display on my xbox, but it is not visible to my pc. They are both on the same network, but my xbox still does not show up on my pc when I try to cast it.

Yes both the PC and xbox are fully up to date, PC has been restarted. Xbox app has been reinstalled and restarted. The PC casts fine to other devices and the Xbox receives casts from other devices.

Make sure both your PC and Xbox One are connected to the same network. You mentioned they are on the same network, but it's always good to double-check.

Check that your PC meets the minimum requirements for the wireless display feature. You can find these requirements on the Microsoft website.

Make sure that both your PC and Xbox One are updated with the latest software updates.

Try restarting both your PC and Xbox One to see if that resolves the issue.

Try using a different wireless display app on your PC. One option you can try is the Xbox Console Companion app.

If none of the above solutions work, you can try connecting your PC to your Xbox One with an HDMI cable.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you want to use your Thrustmaster steering wheel on your Xbox while casting a game from your PC.

Casting is another term for "Screen mirroring" where your console will just act as a wireless monitor. This means that the all control input and processing will come from your PC. Hence, you can't use any incompatible controllers on your PC while casting to your Xbox.

Are you streaming/casting media from a pc or phone to your Xbox? The Xbox does not differentiate between network traffic and actual internet use.

They are referring to the Local Cast app for Android. I am also having this problem not only woth local cast but any app that has the casting ability. Netflix, youtube, etc... are no longer seeing the xbox one on the cast to device list like it used to.
Was there an update that removed this feature of casting directly to the xbox??
