[PC] Can't play Totally Accurate Battle Simulator via Game Pass

I'm trying to play Totally Accurate Battle Simulator through Game Pass on PC. When I start the game, the splash screen prompts me to press A to proceed, as if I were on an Xbox with a controller. Clicking, pressing the A or Enter
keys don't do anything.

I tried restarting my computer after installing (of course). I contacted Microsoft support and they advised me to uninstall and redownload/reinstall, and also to clear my Microsoft Store cache and then redownload/reinstall. Nothing
has worked so far.

Do you own gamepass or are you gamesharing with another account? Do you get any error code?

You made sure to verify the subscriptions to check if there is a problem with your PC service?

It could be that the app is not detecting you as a xbox game pass member.

I figured out my problem - I had a joystick and throttle plugged in and TABS was interpreting it as a controller. Unplugging it solved my problem. The TABS devs also told me that this can also happen if you have software that interprets inputs from controllers,
eg Gamecube controllers

I haven't verified my subscription, how do I do that? The app lets me download and start the game. I just can't get past the splash screen, because it appears to be asking for controller inputs, as if I downloaded the xbox version somehow.
