PBS App

Still unable to locate the PBS App in the marketplace as of today. Am I fair to assume I only search for pbs and not something else?

PBS Apps -- What happened?!?

Very quick, very simple questions:

1) Where the hell's my PBS App for the Xbox 360?

2) Why was it taken away from us?

3) When is it coming back?

4) And when are we getting a REAL PBS App for the Xbox One, instead of that PBS Kids thing?!?

 

PBS app never finds server

I can't find it either. I had previously downloaded it but it never worked properly, so I deleted it and haven't been able to find it since. Microsoft is claiming the PBS app is up and running yet there is no way to even locate it in order to download it.

 

same here I downloaded it watched one show then it stopped working so I deleted it and now it's nowhere to be found

 

Me too - Had the same experience. PBS was not working properly so I uninstalled it and when I went to re-install it, it was gone.

What's going on?

 

Good to see I am not the only one unable to find this, sad to see on the support it shows pbs is having no issues. Maybe one day I will get to be able to view this app

Just to make sure we're all on the same page: Are any of you able to find the PBS App in your

Download History? If so, please try redownloading it from there and let us know how that goes for you. If not, please post back here and let us know.

App does not appear in video apps, but is in history and can be re-downloaded from there, it still throws an error when trying to view full-length shows after deleting and clearing cache. Shorts play fine, full length shows error "Sorry, PBS isn't available
right now. Please try again later. For more info..."

 

Same for me. This app has not played videos for a few weeks now. I was able to re install from the download history, but trying to play a full length show gives the error "Sorry, PBS isn't available right now...."

It looks like there is an issue with the PBS app at this moment and we're currently investigating. This is a copy/paste from the
Xbox Live Status page.

Looking at the Status Page, it looks like PBS is still having problems. You can view here the Xbox Live Status
here.

 

1. What about people who hadn't already downloaded it, but want it. The question is: why isn't it in the store?

2. This problem with PBS video playback has been going on for what seems like months now, even at times when the status page says there are no problems. Is anyone ever going to fix this?

 

Are there any updates to when this issue will be resolved and the app will actually work? It has been like this for months now....

 

It's now August and people were first reporting this problem back in April/May. I think we can safely say that this has been placed on the Xbox Live/PBS backburner, or that PBS doesn't have plans to bring the app back at this time.

It would be great if someone from Xbox Live would just give us the scoop as to what's going on.
