Paypal without credit card.

Hi!

my paypal account has no card attached but has a verified bank account.

The paypal account has funds (200 eu), it is active (transaction one hour ago).

I trying add a payment method paypal to microsoft/XboxOne account.

After logging into paypal I have the following message: " To finalize the purchase, add a card "

Do I need a card to add paypal as a form of payment??

You don't use Paypal because they handle fraud or chargebacks better, you use Paypal because you aren't giving your credit card info to a shady website. It saves you the hassle of having to go through the process of getting a new credit card issued because someone took your info.

I've used it in the past without issue as well, but it's still a key reseller at the end of the day. Which is very much a grey area.

 

How to Manage your Xbox LIVE payment options

Overview

You can choose to use more than one payment method for your Xbox LIVE account. The payment options include credit cards and PayPal accounts. You can use these payment options to buy items from Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

The 2-year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract uses only credit cards as the payment option. The other payment options like Debit Cards, Prepaid cards and PayPal are not valid for this subscription. However, you can change your payment to another credit card.

If it is before the end of the two years and there is no credit card associated with your account, it is assumed you have terminated the subscription, and you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and any applicable taxes.

It is easy to edit your payment options on your console or at Xbox.com

Steps to Follow

Add or change a payment option using your console

1) Use your Xbox LIVE gamertag to Sign in.

2) Proceed to Settings and then select Account.

3) Select Manage Payment Options, and then choose either of the following:

• If you want to add a new credit card, select Add Credit Card.
• If you want to use your PayPal account on Xbox LIVE, select Add PayPal. You will be required to enter your PayPal username and password. Follow the instructions to add PayPal as a payment option. You cannot use PayPal as a payment option for the 2 year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract. PayPal is not available in all regions.

4) After making changes to payment options, select Update Payment Option.

Add or Change a payment option on Xbox.com

1) Go to My Account.

2) Select Payments and Billings and click on Manage Payment Options.

3) You may be required to Sign in using your Microsoft account (email and password).

4) Proceed to do either of the following:

If you want to edit a payment option, select Edit.

If you want to add a payment option, you can do either of the following:

• Click on Add New Credit Card and enter the credit card information
• Click on PAY with PayPal and follow the instructions.

 

Even with a verified bank account did you not need a debit card to sign up?

 

For paypal no credit card is needed (at least not in the EU), this is because a credit card isn't such a common thing as it is in the US.

 

Two years ago I added the same paypal account to the same microsoft account without a card.

A few days ago I deleted paypal on microsoft.

Today tries to connect them back but he requests a credit card.

Something has changed ?

 

You need to live. And have.a billing info.in the same region as your account so if you are using uk but really live in a non xbox live regio .It wont work

We have noticed that others are having a similar issue with paypal being added to their Microsoft accounts. It seems the paypal can be added, however, it will not allow the account to purchase items in the US store when the card/paypal account is UK.

I would recommend
updating the profile billing information as well to make sure it matches the paypal/bank account.
