Payment method problem - credit card info incorrect

Edit payment method on xbox to delete the credit card info, and then bring it back.

This could mean that the billing address for your payment option is incorrect. To fix this issue, make sure the correct billing address is listed on the payment method you're trying to use:
Sign in to your Microsoft account.
Microsoft account
Click Payment & Billing, then Payment Options.
Under Payment Methods, select the payment method you tried to use to make the purchase.
For credit cards, debit cards, and direct debit, do the following:
Select View or edit card and adjust the billing address as needed.
Select Save when done.
For PayPal, do the following:
If the email address is incorrect for the PayPal account, select Remove Account.
Select Add a new payment method.
Select Credit Card or PayPal.
Follow the instructions to set up your credit card, debit card or re-add your PayPal account as a new payment option using the correct billing address.
Note Edit debit cards as you would a credit card (not available in all locales).
You will now be able to complete the transaction.

As other Ambassadors says, we need more infos to understand exactly what's the problem. As additional information, also if you have enough fund on your Microsoft Balance, you need a valid Payment method (credit card, prepaid card, Paypal for example) and
a valid billing address (valid for your payment method and for your Microsoft account region). Let us know.

Most prepaid debit/credit cards will not work with the console, as they don't allow for online and/or recurring payments. You can contact the provider for more info, or try a different payment method.

When you view or add a payment method, Microsoft Online Services immediately

verifies whether or not the payment method is valid, and then displays the

status of the payment method information.

The status will be one of the following:

Good

The payment method information is valid and

current.

Declined

The payment method was declined for one of

several reasons, such as insufficient funds or an expired credit card. To

correct the problem, use one of the following steps:

1. Follow the instructions in
   How do I use a new payment method to set up a new payment method.
2. Contact your bank or credit card company to make sure that the payment
   
   method is valid.
3. Contact Customer Support.
   

Expiration pending

Because the credit card will expire

soon, you must update the credit card information with the new expiration date.

To update the expiration date, follow these steps:

1. On the Payment method information page, click Edit
   
   payment method information.
2. Select the new expiration date for your credit card, and then click
   
   Save.

Expired

The credit card has expired and you must update

the credit card information with the new expiration date. To update the

expiration date, follow these steps:

1. On the Payment method information page, click Edit
   
   payment method information.
2. Select the new expiration date for the credit card, and then click
   
   Save.

Removed

The payment method has been removed from your

account and the payment method is listed for historical purposes.
