    Payment method not accepting


    I have a gift card that I tried to redeem. But when I gave my debit card details, I get "some of the information on the card doesn't match with the given information". I changed my card and tried several times, but I get the same error. I am trying this from Bangladesh. My card is working fine but Microsoft isn't accepting it. Possibly this could be due to the country. My card is issued from Bangladesh, but the billing address is in USA. How can I fix this issue?

    I'm sorry if im doing this wrong, its my first time posting on this site. But im having the same problem as rLyncher. I havent changed locations since i setup my paypal or xbox live account so all the information is the same for both accounts. I just added
    paypal as a payment method and tried to buy a gold membership. But it will not accept when i try to use my paypal purchase anything.

    I appreciate that you answered, but not that you did so without reading what I wrote. My brother back in Norway could not get it to work either, from Norway with a Norwegian billing address, Norwegian gamertag and Norwegian credit card.

    Yeah that is the issue. For a payment method to be accepted it needs to match your billing address region.

    https://billing.microsoft.com     and make sure all of your billing information is configured according to this sticky:

    forums.xbox.com/.../153161.aspx    . Hope that helps! If you see any account errors pop you will need to get in touch with phone support. They will be able to help troubleshoot the issue with you further.

    Yeah, me too (existing card that had been working fine rejected, tried another, tried PayPal, also rejected without a reason).

    It appears something's broken on Microsoft's payment/purchase systems.

    Microsoft, please investigate and fix. Thanks.
