Payment denied although i have enough money on my account!?

Thank you for reaching out. Are you receiving an error message or code when trying to renew your subscription? As far as the additional payment option is concerned, it is used as a backup whenever the Microsoft Account balance is used to purchase a renewing
subscription. This is a failsafe used to continue the subscription in case the Account Balance cannot cover the cost of the charge.

IF you log into account.microsoft.com and go to services and subscriptions at the top you'll go to where you can view your XBL subscription. Do you see any outstanding balance listed in red there that might be giving you an error?

You could always pick up a subscription code to avoid having to have a payment method listed on the account for the subscription.

When you say the purchase was denied did it give you some sort of error message?

Where you trying to make the purchase on the MS store itself?

Where you trying to make the purchase in game?

Did you make sure when adding money to the MS account balance that it included enough to possibly cover tax? The amount for tax would be based on where you live so no one here would be able to tell you how much the purchase would be including tax.

When going through the purchase process it should have asked which payment option you wanted to use to make the purchase with did you choose the MS account currency?

Is it possible when going through the purchase process you may have accidentally chosen a credit/debit card on the account and it was denied?

If you chose the MS account currency and there was enough money on there it should not have been denied.

What it sounds like may have happened is that someone may have chosen a credit/debit card that may be on the account when going through the purchase process and that may have been why it was denied.

I used credit card and it still took the whole payment from credit card. Even when I had more than enough money on my account to pay the whole damn thing with the money on my account.

When i click manage to turn off re-occuring billing it says payment over due, pay now, in red writing, however the money has already been taken out of my account. I think it may be because i was suppose to be charged last month as it is dated 03/02/2020
but might not have had enough money in my account at the time. And now it has taken the money out of my account but it still says payment due.
