Paying a post due subsricption.

I cant pay my subscription for xbox live because its from an old credit card from the time i lived in America. Now i want to pay it with a new credit card, and i cant choose a different nation than USA when i try to add a new credit card as a payment option.
How can I fix this?

I've already added a non USA billing option, and when I try to pay the subscription with another card I can only choose the expired American card.

Okay, so good news is that you can change your region right now.

Make sure you add a valid Non-USA
billing address on your account and set it as default billing option.

After that, if you want to buy it from your Xbox console, make sure you go on the xbox language settings and change your region (locale) to your actual one, so for example if you moved to, let's say, germany you can still use English as a language but put the
region of the console on germany so that you get billed correctly.

Bad news is that sometimes it may take few hours or several days before correctly switching the region.

For this reason, I also advice so
chat with the xbox support and see if they can help with this

The pathway Brad mentioned will lead you to request a callback from a live support agent on Step 4. From here

https://support.xbox.com/contact-us follow the steps Brad wrote down once more and it should lead you to request a callback on Step 4.

Here is another pathway to try:

Contact us here
Select My account
Select See other options,
Select Error Messages and codes.
Select show contact options and go to step 4
Select request a callback from support
