Password when the system turns on

Mine was working fine until I tried to chamge my password. The new password works perfectly on the internet, but now I am getting the error code when I log in. I tried all the suggestions and it worked. If it is a problem with the password system, I may
just turn off the password requirement.

Thanks for that. For some reason, the first time I turned on two step verification, there was no option to create app passwords on that page (it was like I hadn't even turned verification on, but it said I had). So I turned verification off. This time, when
I activated it again, the app passwords option appeared. I'm now logged into my 360 with the app password. I still think Microsoft should update the system routines to allow passwords that work on other Microsoft services, though.

You can play games offline, but in order to play a game (online or offline) you have to be able to sign into your profile. If you know you're going to spend the majority of your time offline, you need to get connected to the internet, sign in, and then
save your password info and set the system to just sign you in automatically when you turn the system on. This will make it so the system doesn't require you to be online to verify your password. You can just turn it on and start playing.

Another thing you could try is once you change your password clear your system cache 3times then turn off your xbox for about 1min power it back on and see if the password works.
