Password on xbox360

So, I just did an update on my old xbox360, everything worked fine but after the update it asked me to insert my login credentials which was fine since the xbox has been working offline for some time now.

Now comes the problem... the max number of characters on the password field is 16 apparently... but guess what?

I need more!

And this is not a new password I have and I have used it before on the xbox360....

How is this even happening?

And please dont suggest that I should use a new password, I shall do no such thing!

Long passwords not supported on Xbox360, but works on XboxOne/Pc

I'd recently changed my password to something 19 characters long. However, when prompted to enter password on Xbox360 it stops accepting characters at some point (12-15ish chars?) and authentication fails. I'll eventually care enough to change to a shorter
password, but Microsoft really needs to either:

• Allow longer password entry on Xbox360, or
• Limit length of passwords to shortest allowed

 

Password Length Cap on Xbox360 Causing Error

I am currently having a problem signing into my Xbox360 (not experiencing this problem on my Windows system or Xbox One, so it seems exclusive to the Xbox360 console).

When attempting to sign in to my Xbox360, I am only able to enter the first 16 characters of my Microsoft password. This results in an Incorrect Password error message. Have other users encountered this problem recently, and are there any options for logging
in without reducing my password length/complexity on a permanent basis?

 

Sorry but The ONLY way to use the 360 is to make a new password that is less then 16 characters.

The password box on the 360 is limited to 16 characters so until you make your password less then 16 characters you will not be able to sign into your account on the 360.
