    Password doesn’t work Xbox 360


    So I tried signing into my Xbox Live account on my 360 and my password does not work. I tried everything Microsoft told me to do: I deleted my profile off the system but not my saved data and achievements (it reads “unknown profile” in system storage,
    but all saved data and downloads are still there), reset my password, turn on two step verification which I then turned off, cleared my system cache 3 times in a row and restarted my console, it’s still telling me that the password does not work. I can sign
    into my account on the computer as well, just not the Xbox. My Xbox is registered to my account. What should I do?

    Hi Gabby,

    The account password limit/restriction on Xbox 360 consoles is actually 16 characters. If your password is longer than this, the console won’t accept it and would consider it incorrect.

    You can still have Two-Factor authentication/Two-step verification (2FA/2SV) enabled as a security feature on your account, but it just doesn’t work too well on Xbox 360. Refer to this guide to set up an app password:
