    Password codes!!.


    My son is setting up a new xbox series x. It's asking for mircosoft account email. All correct, it's not accepting the password. We have requested new password they say they are sending a code. We haven't received the code into e mail. After several attempts.it is now saying we have requested too many codes for today try again tomorrow!!!!

    When I request code via phone I receive a code Into e mail.

    Can someone help a very stressed.mum and an upset child, why can't we sign in. He has an old xbox with all.the same information and that works perfectly.

    I have registered the new xbox with mircosoft. Will.this help. Thank you

    Hi Lisa,

    Are you able to successfully sign in to your account online at

    https://account.microsoft.com/ or https://www.xbox.com/? Is two-step verification (also known as two-factor authentication or 2FA/2SV) enabled on the account?

    What’s the specific error message you receive when trying to sign in on the Series X? Does it say incorrect password (even though it isn’t), and does the same error occur with other account/profiles?

    As you can’t receive the verification codes when requesting this via email and phone, try the recommended solutions here:

    Also, if you’re adding the account during the setup, try adding a different account as you may have more success with signing in to your account once the setup is complete. If you don’t have another one, perhaps create a new Microsoft account (it can always be temporary just for this troubleshooting purpose).

    A possible workaround might be to complete console setup using the Xbox mobile app
