    My mother bought me an xbox live gold pass for christmas but i already have that type currently activated.
    Is there any way to exchange it for a game pass since they cost the same?

    Yes, if she needs to she can provide proof of purchace.

    Yes, ive looked on the help page but there isnt even a category under my issue and the bot couldnt help me either.

    Its 4AM rn so the call lines arnt open and i dont really wanna bother someone unless i know i wont waste their time.

    if someone can help me with ANY possible way around this mistake that’d be great!!!

    You would have to try exchanging it with the retailer it was purchased from. Microsoft does not exhange codes.

    Game Pass Ultimate works for both the console and PC. You wouldn't have to exchange it.

    I think this opportunity is temporary. Microsoft can and probably will stop the possibility of exchanging game pass and live gold subscriptions for game pass ultimate, since the price and subscriptions are not the same. Few xbox users will buy a game pass ultimate subscription with the possibility of free exchange for example: live gold on ultimate!
