Party & Game Notification Issue - Ongoing 4 Weeks

I have also posted this on r/Xboxone before seeing the above tweet. (https://www.reddit.com/r/xboxone/comments/f5tyf8/ongoing_notification_issue_partygame_invites/ ) It has about 20 comments on the post now, some trying to help or others with the similar issue. So I also wanted to post here making the concern known.

Because of the problem, I have since removed myself from the insider builds on console thinking that could be a cause and haven't re-enrolled yet.

The Issue:

Back in mid January, I first realized I was no longer receiving notifications sent from anybody. I began investigating and found out it was only Party and Game invites that I didn't receive (message, achievements, and friends notifications all work).

The Troubleshooting done:

On my Xbox:

• I have done a cold reboot multiple times
• I have disabled all notifications under settings, and re-enabled them following console restarts
• I tried to clear cache of my profile on the xbox and re-sign back into everything.
• I have restarted our router.
• I have verified I have an Open NAT type on my Xbox.
• I CAN sign into another account on my Xbox, and receive notifications on it.

This was the first wave. I then reached out on the Microsoft forums. That led me to:

• Hard shutting down by holding power button, unpugging, letting everything sit for 15 minutes, and then plugging it all back in.
• Do a soft reset of the console, keeping games and apps.

I then tried some additional troubleshooting from other websites, forums, or things I thought of with friends:

• I removed myself from the Xbox Console Preview Delta ring and am now Console OS version: Console version: 10.0.18363.9127
• I have removed all devices other than my Xbox One X under my Microsoft Account.
• I have switched my Xbox from being plugged into a surge protector directly to the wall.
• For the Xbox PC app, Xbox Companion PC app, and the Xbox mobile app. I reset them in the programs and features advanced options, and then uninstalled the apps after resetting; did not work.
• After all of this, I went back into notification settings on my Xbox, and turned them all off, restarted, turned them all back on just to try that again.

This still failed so I reached out to Microsoft Support:

• They ran me through similar steps as above. Came to the conclusion that the tier one tech was unable to help. Said he would be forwarding it to their 'offline senior specialist'
• 3 days later I received an email from them, saying to follow this guide (https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/xbox-360/xbox-live/xbox-live-party-help) and that doing that would fix the issue.
• They then closed the ticket and haven't responded to any requests since.

The link did not work. The results from that guide are:

• 
  Check the Xbox Live service status
  
  • I did this. There is no issue. I can verify other accounts receive invites to games and parties, but I still cant
• 
  Confirm that your console is configured correctly for xbox live parties.
  
  • I have Xbox Gold Subscription
  • Voice & Text chat is enabled. I can send and receive messages. I can also join parties from the friends menu.
  • Privacy settings on Xbox console and my online account both show that everybody and allow options are selected
• 
  If you can’t hear talk to someone in a party
  
  • This is not applicable. I can hear people in parties
• 
  If Xbox Live gameplay is slow
  
  • This is not applicable. Gameplay is just fine. These revolves around notifications
• 
  If you can’t join a party
  
  • I have verified my NAT type with my console is Open
  • But I can still join parties. I just do not receive notifications for them on my primary account I have had for 10+ years.
• 
  Try the Xbox 360 Connection Error Solution
  
  • I have an Xbox One X, but I still looked through the link and none of the provided information is applicable as I am connected to the network, to the internet, and to Xbox Live.
  
  SO AFTER ALL THIS.
  

I am still unable to receive game or party invites. My close friends message me on Discord when they are wanting me to join, and then hopefully any game I want to play I have to host or be able to join from party.

So I believe this is something corrupted or hung up with the Microsoft account and isn't actually console or device related, unless there is a bug in one of the Xbox apps that can't be fixed be just uninstalling or resetting.

I look forward to potentially seeing a solution in the coming days or weeks as it grows tiresome and cumbersome trying to play with even just my friends, let alone trying to group up with people I meet.
