Party chat through Xbox App on windows 10

I have tried all the fixes listed on the support page and i still am having issues with party chat. As of today i began having issues with the sound in general. No sound will come from my xbox in the xbox app in windows 10 after restarting because the
party chat failed to work. I can hear everyone in the party but they can not hear me. So Restarting the app creates a new problem of no sound at all. After restarting five times it will work for a while but then the chat gets choppy and i am not heard, again,
this is a ongoing problem. Please Help. I am a streamer and need to have this working.

Hi there,

This could be caused by a number of things.

First be sure to fully reboot all devices, console, pc, network related devices etc.

To see if that helps anything.

And run the network tests to check if the network/internet connection is working properly.

When things get choppy it could be a network related cause. For example are you using Wifi as connection or a wired connection between console and PC (Windows 10)

Through our investigations we've found a few different issues that tend to pop up on Windows 10 devices with regarding Party Chat:

1. Teredo adapter not functioning normally.

2. Windows Firewall being shut down (sometimes by third party security software), blocking Teredo connectivity.

3. Third party security software blocking Teredo connectivity.

The steps in the link above walk through some workarounds for the most common scenarios we've encountered.

It really wont work on any operating system other than windows 10. The windows 10 app is the only legitimate way to stream your xbox to play on the move. Personally i use a macbook with windows 10 bootcamped on it, native support for the controller is good,
as is the ability to use game sound/ party chat through the macbook

USB headsets are not compatible with an Xbox one, and so far there is no software to fix this issue. If you are looking to use the headset for chatting purposes only you can download the xbox app on windows 10, often it is pre-installed on windows 10
pcs. With the xbox app you can create a party and invite your friend(s), the party will have voice chat.
