Party chat stopped working

Was playing online in a party with a friend, and suddenly he couldn’t hear me.

I’ve done a fully Xbox reboot, repaired my Xbox headset, reapplied the Xbox headset update but it still doesn’t work.

On the home menu I can see we’re both in the same party, his profile pic has a green circle around it, mine is grey.

I’ve checked my account settings and they allow chat. I’ve checked my gold pass ultimate subscription and it expires 2025

Can anyone help?

Having the same problem. It's a total crap shoot if we can actually get party chat to work.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware. Please make sure to follow the steps accordingly:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

If that didn't work, can you please try using a different controller or check if there is an update for your controller where your headset is plugged in?

how many times are party chat and social related things going to stop working?

I'm seeing the same thing for titanfall. Chat stops working randomly and will only start working if I exit the game and start it again. It works fine if I test it by starting a party.
