Party Chat Speech and Accepting Game Invites Not working. HELP!

I'm playing a game on the Xbox app on pc and Xbox game bar isn't functioning properly. I cannot SPEAK in party chat even though I've done all of the troubleshooting and permissions. I also cannot accept game invites for some reason. When I try to accept a game invite for pc AND crossplay it just tells me that I need to download another app in order to accept game invites.

Can you tell us what troubleshooting have you tried so far? Just so we wouldn't repeat the same steps.

If you can’t connect to an Xbox multiplayer game on Windows 10, go to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking. If you’re having a similar problem on Windows 11, open the Xbox Console Companion app, select Settings, and then select the Network tab.

Look for NAT Type. If the status says Teredo is unable to qualify, it means your PC is unable to obtain a Teredo IP address.But if you have tried this already please do let us know by posting back here in the community.

The NAT Type status should be opened as this may affect your multiplayer experience such as the party chat, if there is a problem like Teredo error, etc. I suggest to try the troubleshooting found on this link as wellhttps://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/connect-network/server-connectivity-xbox-app-displays-blocked

It's lame having to accept a party invite THEN have to turn on party chat...which may or may not work.

Obviously it still works but certain things such as accepting invites, party chats, trying to play together the list goes on and on happen not to be working.

If you are referring to add them to a party chat, the other user must accept the invite to the party chat before actually joining to the party chat

Try this procedure, hope it helps. You can enable the Text Conversation Chat or Speech Conversation Chat features. To do this:- Go to the game's main menu and select the Settings tab. - Enter the Accessibility submenu. - Select Enable Text to Speech Chat or Enable Speech to Text Chat. To mute or unmute the microphone, highlight your Gamertag and press the OPTIONS button. In-game chat is enabled. You cannot hear party audio and the party cannot hear your voice. To switch to party audio, select [Party Settings] > [Chat Audio].
