Party Chat Random Issues With One Friend

Before I post this I want to say Ive tried everything Xbox Support or any random site or person has ever suggested. Im a computer technician so I am tech savvy. Please dont respond with obvious "turn it off and back on again" comments. Id say this is something
Microsoft needs to investigate. Ive been having issues in party chat with one friend and only this one friend. Most of the time the chat is fine but usually when we need it the most like in the middle of a multiplayer match he will cut out where i cant here
him. It will go in and out like that randomly but so much that its very annoying. It will get worse and better for absolutely no reason. This has been going on ever since the Xbox One came out. It worked fine on 360. The only thing I have in common with this
person that I dont have with any of my other friends is that we live close(within 30 miles) and have the same ISP. We've called xbox support numerous times and they always do the same troubleshooting or ask me to open ports blah blah blah. We've done EVERYTHING
so much that I'm not even sure why I'm writting this. I believe this is an issue Microsoft needs to investigate a little deeper and since we cant make it happen thats hard to do. I dont have much faith after all these years that i will find a fix but I thought
id throw it out there in hopes SOMEONE may have had the same issue and resolved it somehow.

    :)

That isnt really an option at the moment. Is there nothing that can be done on Microsofts side? Maybe some type of long running diagnostics? I feel like the issue is being pushed off again. This is how I feel everytime I call support. Is there nothing
that can be done on by Microsoft to look into this as well? Also lets say it is my ISP what would I even say to them to fix this? No one has even asked for my info or my friends. Am I speaking to actual Microsoft employees or just a community of helpers? Im
honestly not sure how this site works. At this point I'm just hoping soemone comes along and sees my problem thats had the same problem and was able to fix it.

    Hello Mark,

Thanks for keeping us updated. As you have mentioned, the issue is either account based, or ISP based. One thing to test this out, that I don't see mentioned, is connecting your console to a completely different network. Preferably a different ISP. A friend
or family members home network would be great, but a hotspot would suffice if it is all you have available.

If it works well on a different network, then you would have to contact your ISP with this newly found information to help them help you out.

Hope this helps! Let us know the results.

Like i said, Ive done EVERYTHING. This has been going on for 6 years. Im hoping for some outside the box thinking or possibly running into someone else that has had the issue and been able to solve it. I do appreciate your reply and honestly i was expecting
this type of response but ive tried it all. We've both set static ip, opened ports, used DMZ, we've even ran direct cables from the modem to our xboxs. We've tried other xbox's, other headsets, other routers, and other modems. At this point its not on our
end but i always expect a response telling me what I can do that i have already tried. Not trying to sound sarcastic its just been going on so long it gets a little old when the "blame" is pushed to something on my end. There is one thing I know to be a fact
and that is this issue is either on Microsoft's end or my ISP.

Oh and one last thing this we both have also moved in the past 6 years to new homes. Still got the issue but also still same ISP.

    Hey Mark

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently experiencing difficulties using Party chat with a single individual.

When establishing port forwarding, it is crucial that you have a static IP address on both your console and the machine you are forwarding the ports from.

Additionally, you have to confirm that you do not have Universal Plug and Play [UPnP] enabled, as this will conflict with the ports you have opened.

Alternatively if these options did not work for you, the only other suggestion would be establishing a DMZ, however, this will require that you run a wired connection to your console. This will also conflict with any ports you have opened or if you have
    enabled UPnP.

Testing a different network could also help, merely for testing purposes as well as adjusting your firewall settings, however, I do recommend ever disabling your firewall.

    I would recommend following the
Xbox One Connection and Network Solution
wizard and see if this will help alleviate the communication discrepancies you keep experiencing.

Give this a try and let us know if this works for you!

Im hoping for some outside the box thinking
I can do outside the (X)box thinking, you say it is normally ok but gets worse during MP matches. does your friend sit still most of the time but become a little "animated" when the excitement starts? as you have tried different Xboxes and headsets and network
hardware, your ISP, your friend and yourself are the only factors that haven't changed, and it's the only explanation I can think of considering all the troubleshooting you have done on the technical side.
