Party Chat Quality

Hello, so I was just wondering if it's just me and my friend experiencing this. But ever since the system update on 9/7/2022 that added noise suppression to parties the audio quality sounds off. Like we're talking on the phone or something. We've both reset our systems (I play on Series S and he plays on Series X). It sometimes goes back to normal but for the most part it stays low quality. Is there anyway to fix this or is it some kinda bug or server side thing? Thank you in advance

Noise cancellation requires removal of certain frequencies from the sound which will affect quality when everything is being taken in by the same microphone. The only way to stop it is to turn it off

May I know if the issue is happening even if you disable the feature?
If yes, can you and your friends try this in the console?

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, try to remove and re-add your profile on the console.

Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, try again.

If the issue persists please report the problem (ask your friends to do the same) in that way the Xbox team is going to be aware of it

HI, thank you for taking your time to respond Josef. The issue did seem to persist even when we turned off the feature, but after doing what you said it seems to have fixed the issue. As of now we both sound much better. If the issue ever comes back I will use the link you provided to let the Xbox team know. Thank you for help!

They can't make it compatible. X1 has a higher chat quality and isn't Blutooth. If you have a ps4 and use their party chat you know how much better the chat quality is on x1
