    Party overlay

    Chat Overlay was never on!! Like I said I left party, closed the game, signed out of my account and restarted the Xbox! The chat Overlay was not on the entire time I was playing which was roughly 8 hours! It took me logging back in after a soft restart and deleting and blocking my friend before it would go away.

    gamer tags appear on screen while using headset. Need help hiding them.

    Are you in a party chat? If so, in the Xbox party chat settings, there is a overlay toggle which can switch the overlay on or off.

    Outside of party chat, I am not entirely sure how it works with MWII (I assume that's what you are playing).

    Why cant my XBOX party hear me on PC unless Gamebar is open? my default devices settings are correct on both Xbox And Gamebar apps.

    There is a workaround: in Game Bar you can pin the party chat so that it stays active when the Game Bar overlay disappears. Click the pin icon on the party chat widget. Hopefully they fix it properly soon.
