Party Chat overlay for viewers

I think it would be cool if the viewers on Beam could also see the same party chat overlay that I have when streaming from Xbox. I can see who is all talking at what time on my screen with the overlay, but it doesn't show up on the stream itself.

A party chat overlay while streaming a game from Xbox one would be nice.

Party overlay

Yeah, turn off chat overlay, and make sure you left the party.

That will remove it from your screen, if it's only showing in the party thing on your screen it's reasonable to assume it's the party chat and party overly. Next time drop party, that will remove the overlay because you aren't in a group and you won't get some random issue.

The system can boot up from things in memory if you have instant on, and glitches can occur, best to exit what you don't want up when someone else boots it up next.

Chat Overlay was never on!! Like I said I left party, closed the game, signed out of my account and restarted the Xbox! The chat Overlay was not on the entire time I was playing which was roughly 8 hours! It took me logging back in after a soft restart and deleting and blocking my friend before it would go away.

Are you in a party chat? If so, in the Xbox party chat settings, there is a overlay toggle which can switch the overlay on or off.

Outside of party chat, I am not entirely sure how it works with MWII (I assume that's what you are playing).

There is a workaround: in Game Bar you can pin the party chat so that it stays active when the Game Bar overlay disappears. Click the pin icon on the party chat widget. Hopefully they fix it properly soon.
