    Party Chat Network Blocking Issue


    Hello there.

    I am having issues with using the Party Chat feature on my Windows 10 Xbox App. Whenever I try to join a party or create one and speak to other people, it says 'Your network settings are blocking party chat. 0x89231806'. I have the Teredo Tunneling Service
    installed and enabled, and I have tried enabling/disabling my firewall, making sure the service isn't being blocked by the firewall etc. I will also point out that this issue occurs on both the regular and beta version of the app. Whatever I do, I still get
    this error. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Thanks in advance.

    Party Chat Network Blocking Issue

    HI ShadowRanger248, Sorry to hear your experiencing this issue.

    We have received reports regarding this issue and it may mean that the Internet connection between your Xbox console and the other party members is failing. This often happens because of incompatible Network Address Translation (NAT) types.

    I don't have quick solution to this issue but the developers are aware of this issue and investigating. What would be of great help is if you could report this issue via Xbox App Beta using the "report a problem" so we can forward your info to the developers
    to help with the on-going investigation.

    Some users have also shared some tips that seem to help some users, try it out and let us know if it helped or not.

    Go into network settings on your xbox one in the network settings menu find "Go Offline". Select go offline and allow it to shut down your network settings, wait about 30 seconds and then click "Go Online". This refreshes ALL your network settings giving
    you a fresh connection. Restart your xbox if necessary and then try connecting to a party! If you had the same issue as me, it should work,,

    I'm having the same issue this worked for me for a little bit but the problem comes back, go to settings, network, advance settings then clear mac address, the xbox will reset now do a power cycle, hold the off button on your xbox for 10 sec wait for it
    to shut down then unplug the power from the wall then your xbox wait 20 to 30 sec then plug it all back in and turn your xbox on by holding power button on xbox on for 10 sec this should clear it up for the day at least, we really need a perma fix.
