Party chat hangs on "joining" and eventually times out on Android Xbox app

- Make sure you and your friend are connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network. If possible, avoid using mobile data or public Wi-Fi networks.

- Check if there are any updates available for the Xbox mobile app and install them if needed.

- Go to the app settings and make sure you have granted all the necessary permissions for the app to access your microphone, speakers, and notifications.

- Clear the app cache and data by going to your device settings > Apps > Xbox > Storage > Clear cache and Clear data.

- Restart the app and try to join a party again.

i've seen people watch the same thing on their xbox and join in a party chat to just hang out

The party system needs work for sure, if I join a party on the console, it wont show on my android app (on my phone), nor does it recognize I'm even in a party, and vise versa if I join a party via my android app.

Can you join a party via the companion app and see if that does anything?

i'm having the same issue on my android phone with the app. I also can not join any open chat parties. I can join them if i'm invited but sometimes i can not hear anyone and they can not hear me.
