    Party chat doesn’t work when 2 profiles are signed in with headsets.


    Local chat between 2 players headsets will not work, we cannot hear eachother on an Xbox party even when both controllers are signed into different profiles and has the headsets assigned to each remote individually. Tried all resetting options and ensured everything is assigned to controllers correctly. Both headsets work fully when using one or the other by itself so no faulty equipment but when both are on the Xbox party chat will not allow us to hear eachother but will still show the circle around our profiles saying that we are speaking.

    Cannot speak in party/in-game chat. But can hear everyone through headset.

    In parties/chats I can hear my friends but my friends can't hear me, this happened after a 2 week ban... And this headset works on my brother's profile on the same console (one). So it's not a headset issue, it's a profile issue. Please help!! Thanks

    Hi Isaiah,

    It seems the issue is related to the in-game chat option not working properly in a streaming format since your mic and headsets works in other formats and they work separately on different displays.

    What happens if you invite your brother's profile to an Xbox Live party chat and communicate that way? Is there an audio or mic issue when forming a party chat and choosing to not speak in game chat?

    As far as I've been able to tell, chat does not work for most 3rd party headsets when using the adapter. The adapter that was, of course, supposed to enable chat for 3rd party headsets. Sigh.

    Hello Anthony,

    Sorry for the issue with the sound in headsets not working as it should. When you are in a party chat does it seem to be bothered, or is it game chat and party chat? You can try the

    troubleshooting steps for chat headsets    . Keep in mind the headset you have is also a third party so troubleshooting is limited.
