    Party Chat Actually Darkens Screen


    A few days ago I was watching a couple game clips I had, and I noticed that from time to time the screen would darken then lighten. Seemingly at random. I thought it was the Game DVR.

    Then I realized it was because the party overlay actually darkens the screen whenever it activates. I wasn't entirely sure where to put this issue so I put it in this forums. I actually got a couple of my friends to test it out by simply saying random things
    within the party, and I definitely noticed the seemingly "random" lightening then darkening effects.

    Not entirely sure what the issue is but I don't recall seeing anyone bring this up.

    Actually, this appears to be software based. I found a work around which has worked 3 times now. Snap party chat, start a party, turn on party chat, then mute your MIC THROUGH THE ON SCREEN INTERFACE, then unmute. Please try.

    I play SQDM with mic, but in party chat only with my buddy

    (actually not "party chat", but there is a setting in Xbox for chatting with friends only)

    You can Private Chat between the 360 and PC but if you can't join a Party on your PC.

    You can play and communicate as a party without actually being in party chat.

    If you are referring to add them to a party chat, the other user must accept the invite to the party chat before actually joining to the party chat
