    Partnering with RBC for All Access Xbox plan is a large slap to consumers


    I'd like to know how it came about that RBC was the chosen bank to create the Payplans for Xbox All Access.

    Right now, as a Canadian, with a very good credit score and no blemishes on my record, try applying for this plan RBC flat out rejects me, almost instantly. I've contacted their support, and they apparently "reserve the right" to not tell me why I'm being rejected.

    My friend however got it, and his Xbox was delivered in 2 days!! So I have to ask Xbox at this point, what kind of mean, insulting trickery is this? I'm not only an established, stable working adult that pays his bills on time, but I'm also now really pissed off I can't do the same thing because of RBC's garbage "approval" system.

    There HAS to be another way to do this, considering I can't buy one in stores. This really puts people at a disadvantage who would like to be part of this program, and if you're rejected they give you NO indication as to why.

    Please have someone contact me about this ASAP, they have no financial grounds to do this to me.

    I'm in the same boat.

    Third-party sellers on Walmart.ca and elsewhere are scalping the Xbox Series X at over double MSRP, and Microsoft does nothing about it.

    Microsoft has given RBC a monopoly on All Access sales. RBC is denying All Access applications to Canadians with good credit (including RBC customers!), doesn't have a meaningful appeals process, and Microsoft does nothing about it.

    So far, I've been unable to find a means to put my name on a waiting list, to purchase at MSRP, and Microsoft (which sells the slow-selling Surface laptop direct from their website), offers nothing.

    Apparently, they're happy to sell in large quantities to scalpers, and ignore the rest of their customer base.

    Unfortunately the financial institution reserves the right to deny credit to anyone without having to explain the reasons. Microsoft cannot change third-party financial institution policies. So far there is no news that there will be other companies interested in offering the service.
