parents control not working with games that allow to play as GUEST

HI,

I set up parent control for my kids on xbox one (using the parental control and adding time limits) and it is working well!

HOWEVER :

While my kids cannot signed in to his user account (out of the time that he allowed) , he still can play game as guest on games that allow this feature.

For example he can play fifa 17 as a guest without sign in.

I tried to set the "Signed out console restrictions" :

Guest Account Content Limits | Xbox One Security

I set it for game reated 3 years old (this is the minimum allowed) and it not restriced becuase fifa 17 game is ratef for 3 years old and up.

How can i restrict him to play games as a guest once the time limit of the parental control is active ?

Playing multiplayer local will not allow me to use guest account on back comp game

Have you tried to login to the guest account through the Xbox 360 emulator? pressing both the menu buttons in at the same time from either controller will bring up the xbox 360 guide doing that with the second controller might allow you to sign in as a guest.

If not then it could be game specific I tried to assign player 2 on my Xbox One as the guest for NBA: Jam On Fire Edition and Gears of War 3. On NBA: Jam OFE it would not allow me at all to assign player 2 as a guest but would still allow the second controller
to play just with no account or guest, On GoW 3 it did but I had to do it in-game by pressing the Y button and then assigning player 2 as guest then it took me back to the main menu and I had to press start on player 1 and player 2 showed up as my guest with
the usual [1].

Guests

Certain game on Xbox Live allow Guests to play. When you log in and try to play the game with the second controller at the bottom of your Gamertag lists it should say "Guest" Just choose that one and it will be allowed to play the same games as you as long
as they allow Same Screen Online Multi-player.

Let people download & make new accounts. From then on, you'll need a guest key to add new accounts.

I fully agree with your frustration and also agree that the guest key is not a complete solution. The issue is that even with the guest key set and restricted set to full restriction some software allows bypassing of this option. For example the TABS game my son can easily get in it just says the game cannot be saved during play and then after a few clicks boom he is in playing.

Too many bugs with the guest key. They need to allow parents to turn off the offline play.

It is understood that the issue being experienced here consists of an inability to add a guest in order to play a backwards compatible game on your Xbox One console.

The truth is that the ability to play as a guest is dependent on if the developer allows it.

For this game in particular, it may be that it was intended not to work in this way, as there are games that do allow guests to sign in and play.

Are guests allowed in the game? Usually there should be something on the screen that prompts the second controller to sign in as guest.
