    Parental Control issue with game

I have my account set up as the master account with full access. I have my son set up as a family member and he has restrictions on what he can do since he is only 8 years old. My problem came the other day when I tried to play Dead Rising 3 under my name.
I know I was logged in under me because 1 I have a green screen and he has a blue. I checked three times and it was the green screen. Also, up at the top left of the home in page where you can sign in, the only game tag icon was mine, his was not up there.
He was at school and hadn't logged in that day since I just turned it on that morning after he left.

When I went to start dr3, it prompted me for my passcode to allow is gamertag name access to the game. I didn't want him to have access. When I would hit cancel, it would bring me back to the home screen. I would check that I was logged in, load up the
game and it would ask for that access again. It would not let me play under my name even though I have access. When I finally did put in my code, it said are you sure you want to give access for this game to my sons name. If I said no, it would bring me
back to the code entery page. The only thing I could do to play DR3 was to give my son access with the code then I could play it. Now his profile has access to a game that I don't want him playing. I wanted it to be if he tried to play the game, he would
have to type in my passcode which he doesn't know. Now he can just put the disc in and play. I don't know why it forced me to give him access just to let me play under my loggin which has full access.

Is there anyway to re restrict access to a game after you give that profile permission for the game? I don't want him to be able to play that game or any that is set at the parental restrictions without the passcode. But if it forces me to give him permission
just for me to play, what is the point...

    What can I do????

    :)

    Issue with Parental Controls

I seem to have noticed a problem. Internet Explorer can be disabled on the Xbox by disabling the viewing of unrated content. Taking this action prevents IE from being downloaded directly from the app store. This action does not however prevent IE from
being downloaded via advertisements. For example if an advertisement for Progressive Insurance is selected it will offer to give you a rate quote. By selecting the rate quote option the Xbox immediately begins to download IE despite unrated content being
    disabled. Suggestions?

    Parental Control Issue

    AurelienDe mil,

Hello my friend. Sorry about the issue. You cannot separate the parent account from the child account it will orphan the account and it will lock it up and live will not work. All modification has to be done by the patrent account. When you become 18 and
your account says your 18. You can remove yourself from the family and that should graduate your profile to adult status. Until then you need your parent account.

    Hey there Vortim,

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your child's account.

If both you and your son are signed in at the same time, you will get a prompt for your passkey to allow the child account to also play the game (co-op, etc.). You can allow them to access it just Once or Always.

If you've selected the "Just Once" option then after the child signs out and back in they won't be able to play without the Passkey again.

If you select "Always" then you will need to Remove the child account and then re-add them and set back up the permissions to reset that.

that's the problem, he wasn't logged in at all. He wasn't even home. There was only my icon at the top left of the home page showing only me. Also the dashboard was my color, not his. I had just turned on the xbox that morning and it logged me in only.
He wasn't even home to be able to log him in. That is why I am so confused as to why it did this. There was no option to say only this time or always... just allow him access or cancel. If I hit cancel, it brought me back to the passcode screen. If I
wanted to play, I had to allow my son access because the game would not start under me unless I did. It had never did that before. If I remove him from family, will he lose all his progress under that name for other games he has done? Like Marvel Superheroes?
I don't want him to have to start over in other games, I just want to make sure he cant access DR3. What if I change his level of access to a higher or lower setting. Will then DR3 seeing a new restriction set and prompt him for the code????

Hey there Vortim! That's definitely odd then.

In any case, removing them and readding them to the family should resolve the issue for you. Also, their game saves are tied to their profile specifically, not the family. So removing them from the family and readding them shouldn't affect their game saves
    in any way.

Let us know if you have any other questions. =)

@BAD, how does Parental controls come into this? Parental controls would not cause storage space issues.

I think the parental control takes effect over all the accounts on the xbox. without the password for the parental controls you can't get access to mature content.
