    Help me please

    Hi,

You currently can't do that and have to wait under 18 years old, now if you are under 18 your parent have to remove your account from the Xbox family:

Why you're being asked for parental consent

  4. Parental consent removal from Microsoft family account

This page here should have details on how to remove a child from your Microsoft Account family. That covers doing
it via the browser or on an Xbox One console. With that, once the child is removed from a family, they should be able to be added to another family account.

Let us know if you're getting any errors or problems during that process.

Hi there! Thanks for your reply.

I had tried this, so all content restrictions are off, but when I go to remove child from family, I get this message:

You’ll need to remove consent first
Select Manage my child’s profile info, find your child, then select Remove consent for this child’s account. Then, try removing this member again.

This is where I am stuck.

Any idea why I get this?..

    Thanks!

  6. It may be easier to do it on a computer.

Sign into the current parent account at account.microsoft.com/family

It will show anyone in the family under the family member that you want to remove there is a choice for more options when you click on that it will give you a choice to remove from family.

Sign out of that account and sign into the account that you want the child on at account.microsoft.com/family and there would be a choice to add a member where you can add the child to the new account.

Keep in mind while the child is not a member of a family they will not be able to do ANYTHING until added to a family.

    Hi PalmettoBling

Sorry - but i have done it all. When i go to remove parental consent, i get an info page saying “You can use this page to manage the child account for which you provided consent”

However, there is no button to click, no option to remove consent from this child’s account - hence my trouble....

i really wish there was a phine number i could call or something so i can explain “live”...

It’s extremely frustrating Parental consent removal from Microsoft family account :(

Frustrating is not the half of it. Did you ever figure out how to remove the account. I'm in the same situation.

  9. Sorry for the late reply, you should be able to contact Official Support at support.xbox.com/contact-us to talk to someone live.

Though if you remove a child account from a family, it is still subject to restrictions as Microsoft has legal obligations in different territories to protect children and their information.

Parental Consent Why you're being asked for parental consent

If the date of birth on your Microsoft account shows that you're under a certain age, Xbox is required to request parental consent for you to use Xbox Live.

If you're an adult, but you got a message asking for parental consent, it's because you're a child in your Microsoft family.

    Solution

If you're of an age that requires parental consent, follow the steps on your Xbox to have your parent sign in and add you to their Microsoft family.

If you're over the age requiring parental consent, have your parent remove you from the family. They'll have to sign in to
account.microsoft.com/family, select your profile, and select
    Remove.

If you're unable to clear the message, contact Xbox Support.
