    Parental Approval required. I'm 20 and the parent account email no longer exists.


    Hi, I was trying to change my Xbox live account over to my new email but it says that I need permission from a parent or legal guardian. I'm 20 now. I assume the account was created as a child account, which is why I'm having difficulty.

    However, the "parent" account no longer exists on the Xbox (we deleted it years ago) and no one can remember the password to it. We're currently having trouble getting into the email associated with the parent account, but I assume if we do we can reset
    the password and remove this ridiculous child account tag on my Xbox account.

    But if we can't get into the email, is there another way to remove this ridiculous thing?

    Ok well i go to My account, then online safety settings then it goes to windows live and says "Parental Approval Required

    Your parent associated with this account must enter their Windows Live ID to continue." Now the email dosen't exist anymore. So i can't really do anything here. Theres no other way for me.

    i know the email and password for my parents account but i type it in and it just sais "PARENTAL APPROVAL REQUIRED The parent credentials provided are incorrect. Please enter the correct parent Windows Live ID to continue"

    but if i type in something different (say the email and password for another account) it tells me that either the password or email is wrong. so it knows the first email and pword is correct it just doessnt go to the next page

    is there a way to view the parental account that is associated with mine? because every time i enter the parental account i get "PARENTAL APPROVAL REQUIRED

    That's not the parent associated with your account. The parent listed on your account will need to sign in with their Microsoft account email." i might be entering the wrong account.
