Paid for Xbox Video Content, Cannot Play Content

I paid for a movie rental on xbox video for xbox 360. The video played initially. Attempted to place closed caption and it would not play. Removed closed captioning (to return to original play state) and it would still not play. The video will not play (circle
of death rotates).

Restarts of application and restart of xbox did not work.

Other titles within the same application playback without issue.

Internet connection is fine and stable.

Title is "Room" from 2015.

No xbox support is available via email or chat. The inability to watch the movie, with the addition of the time limit that started (started watching and attempted to put CC on), means I will not be able to watch the movie within the time constraint even though
I have paid for that option.

1. Does anyone know how to best get this resolved?

2. How would I get a refund for this title if not resolved? I'd prefer to watch the movie (hence the purchase), but paying for pure frustration is not desired.

3. Is vudu better than microsoft for video rental on xbox?

Media capabilities of the Xbox one is appalling, you cannot plug in a USB drive and play back media files, and you cannot use the xbox one to play content from a DNLA media server instead you have to push content to it. So if you have a media server you have to use another device i.e laptop/tablet/phone to pull the content from the server and push it to the xbox one.

Also the xbox one does not play back 4K video (H264) in .MP4 container, I can push 4k video from a smartphone (snapdragon 800) to a pc running windows media player fine, but not to the xbox one.

Talk about going next gen, they seriously crippled the media capabilities of this system, most probably so you buy/rent content from the xbox one video market place.

pandora only playing edited music

Sadly I'm having the same issue with Pandora playing only edited content. I am the owner of my Xbox, and even after turning off all of the Default restrictions, I cannot seem to get Pandora to play explicit content for which I have paid for. What the ***

I have something that I'd like you to try, that may grant you access to the content that you've paid for. On your Xbox 360:

1. Go to Xbox Video>My Videos>Account Management.

2. Press 'X' to Refrest Purchase History.

3. Try to access the content.

Let us know if that helps get you access to your content.

Please read my question BEOFRE answering. I paid for a bunch of digital content over the past couple of years. As of right now I cannot access ANY OF IT. Microsoft owes me compensation for deliberately denying me access to content I paid for. OR even better give me access to my content.

a lot of video content I purchased via the 360. when I went to view some of them on the one I discovered a lot of that content cannot be found in the xbox one video store. all content was purchased in the main Microsoft video marketplace. specifically the
james bond movie For Your Eyes only, The premiere episode of Star Trek Voyager and a lot of Babylon 5 videos are either missing or no longer say that I own them.
