Oxenfree keeps crashing during loading screen

This latest downloadable title for the Xbox One is really good, however it keeps crashing on me during transitions between sections of the game, after new sections load usually, thankfully it saves and I pick up where I left off each time but still it's
pretty annoying and inconvenient.

I just started playing yesterday after the latest system update so I'm not sure if it's the game's fault or a result of the latest update, and I don't know anybody else that has had the game for Xbox One so I can ask if they've had issues or not or if it's
just me or what.

In my first playthrough it must have crashed on me 8 times, 2 of which happened during actual gameplay like the screen freezes and it makes a loud noise for like 10 seconds before closing the game by itself.

So I don't know, is it a game issue? or the result of the update and it effects other games too? or a result of the update but only for this game? Just this game not because of the update?

Borderlands freezing

Yeah same here my game keeps freezing during the loading screen or randomly

 

I think this is a game issue as I've heard of several people reporting the same thing.

Not sure who the developers are but it may be worth contacting them to see if they are aware of the issue.

I only played an hour or so before the update, and since then I can't even access the game - it goes past the Night School Studio logo, then the Skybound one but then when it says 'Oxenfree' in the bottom corner it freezes after 10 seconds or so then boots
me back to the beginning.

Googling it and seems only one other person in the world has had this issue.

It cost me £16 FFS and I can't even play it. I've uninstalled it (won't let me download without the update that broke of course), I've performed numerous hard resets, and nothing works. All other games work fine.

Policy of 'no refunds' is a joke when it's absolutely unplayable.

If they don't work then contact support anyway explaining that the game is broken & they may refund you.

I contacted them on Twitter, they said their aware of the games constant crashing and already in works for fixing it.

@Wedjwants - jeez, that sucks, have you tried uninstalling at all or anything to see if that helps, or deleting the save file to see if that's causing the crash?

I had it crash during the actual save part it corrupted my file when I tried loading, thankfully I waited a few minutes tried loading and it worked fine but if it's crashing during saving then I worry save file corruption might be causing some more issues.
