Owned games on External storage expansions not starting on home Xbox while offline

When you say external storage expansion you mean the Seagate card correct? Not a USB drive?

I understand. But in order for you to play the games, they need to be on the internal storage. While you can store these games on external drives, you will need to transfer them to the internal drive or expansion card in order to play them.

The faster storage requirement is a design choice to ensure optimal performance for newer games, and while you can use external storage for them, you will need to transfer them to the internal hard drive or expansion card before you can play them.

Also be aware that while you can not run Series X optimised games from USB external storage, you can store them there for later transfer to internal or an optional expansion card. Expansion cards use the same technology as the internal storage (NVME SSD drives).

This allows you to move games around that you're not currently playing, without having to do lengthy downloads again.

Fixed my own issue. I started up Ruiner and played for a few minutes before disconnecting my xbox from my wifi. I continued to play Ruiner while offline for a minute or two. I then quit out of Ruiner to the home screen, and started Ruiner back up again
while still offline. After a minute or two of playing Ruiner offline, I paused the game and reconnected my xbox to the internet. The achievements that I had unlocked then popped for me.
