    Overly saturated display on Xbox One S


    I was in the middle of playing something when my display became overly saturated and I have no clue why, I wasn’t doing anything apart from playing a game, I have done a Power Cycle, swapped HDMI ports (am not able to switch cords as it is 2am and can’t find one) and have fiddled around with TV Settings and Xbox Settings, I don’t believe my TV supports HDR as they aren’t available in the Xbox settings and my TV dosen’t need any updates.

    Hope you're doing great today despite this Zaine

    When possible, please try sharing a picture to see what's going on exactly.
    In the meantime, as power cycling the console didn't fix the problem
    Would be great if you instead try with a different HDMI cable or connecting the console to another TV before keep troubleshooting

    Hi, yes. This is why I ask you to try a different HDMI cable when possible.

    Try it in the morning or as soon as you can.

    Because I don't want to advise you to factory reset the console without testing that first

    And as Xbox screenshots looks good, could be an issue with the HDMI cable itself and not the console (for the moment)

    Apologies for the bad quality was taken from an iPad, as Xbox screenshots don’t show it. This was taken on a YouTube video. (https://youtu.be/Cae50FzTl1w at 17:07) and as I said earlier I am unable to test a different HDMI cable or different TV at the moment due to it being the middle of the night. It dosent seem to affect the TV’s own menu so I am assuming it’s a HDMI problem.

    Can a Xbox One S work on a 1080 TV

    Hey Kmcroc! The Xbox One S is able to display at 1080 as well and that would be the only difference compared to a 4K display. Thanks!

    Xbox Screen appears only for few dialogues boxes

    I find my xbox one s working while set on dvi and 640p resolution. But no display on 1080p and hdmi.

    Just to add i am using samsung smart 3d tv aand also tested my xbox one s on 2 other displays.. one pc monitor and one more smart tv
