If you don't want to keep buying batteries your options are rechargeable batteries or a Play & Charge kit.

An upside to user-replaceable batteries is that it's very easy to replace them when the battery is eventually worn out. And with a play & charge kit you get the best of both worlds; no need to keep replacing batteries and it's very easy to replace when needed.

I'm using Duracell Duralock AA for my controllers. Should I have better batteries, like AA rechargeable's? Is the battery meter accurate with the Duracell Duralock? The reason I'm asking is my controller disconnects often at just over half full
battery. So I'm wondering if the battery meter is showing incorrectly for the Duracell's and would you get better accuracy with AA rechargeable's or the Play & Charge Kit?

I recommend getting a wire kit as it charges your controllers faster and it can also charge when your playing. You can get the from any gaming store or maybe Amazon

I have managed to break/ wear out an official 360 controller in just over 12 months, it won't stay switched on tried changing batteries with brand new duracell batteries and same thing happens.

Rechargeable batteries are the way to go like those posted above me. I use duracell AA rechargeable batteries for my controllers and AAA Duracell batteries for my wireless headset. When they go flat I just put them on charge and put a backup pair in.

micro usb wont charge the batteries inside the controller unless you have a special battery i been using recharchable duracell for a while now and glad I did. saved on money
