Outriders not installed but says "installing 86% complete on gamepass app"

Nope there is no folder related to outriders, no option when i search for it, i have even used the search function in file explorer, still nothing. I have never come across anything like this before. Thank you for reaching out though, i do appreciate the help and ideas.

That's strange, please try all this together:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

Now, sign out from your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store and do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Finally do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

Sign in again on both Microsoft store and Xbox app with your account and give it a new try.

I did have it installed on an external drive, but when i started having the original crash issues i uninstalled it and wanted to install it on an internal hdd, but now there is absolutely no instance of Outriders installed on any drive, but when i click on the game in the gamepass app it shows me that it is 86% installed. I am completely confused by it, i have uninstalled both the windows store using powershell, and the xbox app itself. I have tried troubleshooting the apps, resetting them, uninstalling and reinstalling the apps themselves, yet still nothing.

When i click cancel download it tells me "this will uninstall the game" which is what i want, but then i click on outriders in the gamepass app store, and it comes up instantly as 86% installed again.

So, inside WindowsApps or XboxGames folder. Are you not able to see any folder related to Outriders?

If that's the case, if you try using windows search (press the windows button and start typing) and look for Outriders. Are you able to find a result?

If yes, please right click on it and select "Delete/Uninstall" and give it a new try

Are you receiving an error when outriders reach 86%? Or the download progress simply gets stuck?

If that's the case, are you trying to install the game in C: drive or do you have an external / another drive different than C:?

If that's the case, please try installing the game in C: drive. Or do the opposite.

And in case you only have 1 partition, please create a new one

**After that, don't forget to select the new drive as where new content is going to be installed via Windows Settings > System > Storage > (advance storage if you're on windows 11 > Where new content is going to be installed > select the new partition for Apps

Also, besides the things described in your post. Did you tried something else?
In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed
