Outer Worlds Saves missing

Hello,

I recently installed Outer Worlds through GamePass. I played a couple of hours before exiting the game. However, when I have gone to play again, the "Load Game" option is not possible to click on, as if there are no saves.

I can see that both auto and regular save files have been created under:

C:\Users\<Username>\Saved Games\The Outer Worlds Windows 10\__LOCAL__

as well as

C:\Users\<Username>\Saved Games\The Outer Worlds Windows 10\<large sequence of numbers>

but the game does not seem to recognise it? Please help!

Did you manually save the game at any point? I don't think you generate files if you just rely on auto saves.

I was in the same situation on PC, here's the solution I found.

(I was online logged into the game with xbox gamer tag showing in bottom left corner)

alt+tab to file explorer window and did the following (it may work without the game open but this is what i did)

copy the save game and achievement files you want from:

C:\Users\<Username>\Saved Games\The Outer Worlds Windows 10\__LOCAL__

paste them into:

C:\Users\<Username>\Saved Games\The Outer Worlds Windows 10\<large sequence of numbers>

make the game reload the main screen by going into then out of settings.

after I did this the "continue" option appeared and my game loaded!

Moving the save files over fixed my issues and even gave me the achievements I wasn't getting when I first started playing. Was a bit annoyed at first that it happened but when I first started playing I wasn't signed in, in game but was on Xbox Beta Companion
App. Today I restarted and it for some reason started logging me in when before it hadn't.

I seem to be having the same problem--I did indeed do a few manual saves that are still present in the Saves file. I was playing when the client wasn't connecting to the Cloud and when it did connect to the cloud again it doesn't recognize that there are
saved games in Outer Worlds anymore, though it does remember my settings. Can I turn off cloud saving or something? Go into an offline mode?
