    There is no way to prevent someone with an independent accounts from signing in on the Xbox, you should make sure that the police have the serial number so they can work with Microsoft to potentially locate it

    Yeah, if something gets stolen, call the police. You'll also want to change the password(s) on your account(s) so they can't be accessed from the stolen Xbox. You may also wish to contact Support and report the stolen console/ accounts just in case credit
    card info has been used, or something's been done on or to the account that would get it banned.

    Sorry the police aren't able to help there. I'm afraid that only the enforcement team would know why the console was banned and they don't release that info and if it was banned that would nullify any warranty that may have remained.

    As for if it's stolen you would need to check your local police to see if the console's serial number has been reported.
