Our Xbox controllers and Turtle Beach headsets just won’t recognise each other

Hi there,

We are having real trouble with headsets. Basically we’ve bought a succession of Turtle Beach headsets: The audio worked with the first one but not the microphone so we exchanged it, however the new one just is t being recognised on any of our Xbox controllers.
So i’ve Replaced that with another new set... still the same problem.

Just to be clear, I can confirm the following:

1) The headphones DO work when plugged into smartphone, laptop etc.

2) The Xbox controllers DO recognise normal standard earphones when I plug them in, and the sound works fine.

So the problem seems to be that the Xbox controllers just don’t recognise any Turtle Beach headphones anymore.

Have tried every trouble-shooting permutation I can find online..... still no luck.

Turtle Beach’s customer support appears to be non-existent - possibly the worst customer service I have ever encountered in the industry.

Can anyone help?!

Can't hear other Gold players connected to my xbox.

My sister and I both have different Gold accounts and use the same xbox. We have 2 Turtle Beach X12 headsets connected to the xbox and each of our controllers, but when we try to talk to each other (in a party/game chat) we cannot hear the others voice...
Xbox says we are talking and other people can hear us but we cannot hear each other. (also we don't have each other muted)

 

Turtle Beach

Hi all. Just purchased the Turtle Beach 30x cheap Headset for my Xbox one not realising that it needs a new Xbox controller (didn't realise there was a new controller) to plug directly into.

In the Turtle Beach instructions it says to purchase the Ear Force Headset Audio Controller so I can plug the head set into that then that into the controller.

My question at last is, will the official headset adapter for Xbox work with the Turtle Beach instead of their Audio Controller.
