I would recommend
submitting that feedback to the Xbox Insider team. They do a lot of work in getting early release software ready and running as easily as possible. When it comes to applying system updates it is a very tricky process that involves steps not easily backed
out of, and due to the nature of the Xbox Insiders program, it's quite possible that there is a problem with the Insider version you're trying to update to, so the safest route back to get you into a working state is to restore to a certified and tested current
release instead of a wonky in progress update patch. But hey, the Insider team is going to be smarter than me on this, so I'd say submit it to them; I'm not sure how active they are on the forums and you have a direct line built in to the program.

Actually @aqua all levels of insiders can still unenroll aa im in skip ahead alpha and have unenrolled and reenrolled in mins after a bad update

Keep in mind I havr a windows 10 laptop that I can use the insiders app to do so lol

As you were told when originally signing up

Osu is NOT for beta use

However there is a proccess for you to follow first use regedit /xboxinsiders for help aa you aggreed to when signing up for the beta

To FACTORY reset a console its simple

First if it is an update issue them just exist and goto the insiders hub then remove the console

Then update as normal

Then reenroll after the update

This usually fixes update issues

If you cant get to the hub screen then use the insiders app on a windows 10 pc and remove the said console

The normal way to recover any console is to use the troubleshooting screen and Factory reset. If you change to a lower Insider ring or unenroll from the program, a Factory refresh is required.

If you intend on attempting an offline system update (OSU) you must unenroll from the program, and if you are using a wired connection to your network hardware, you must disconnect it prior to starting OSU. Reconnect it after the OSU has completed.
