    OS Updates Should Be Better Than This...


    Can we please make some noise about the terrible timing of the OS updates?

    If the xbox is not in use, sure, give me the update message. Better yet, allow me to select an option for auto updates to proceed if the Xbox has been idle a certain amount of time.

    However, if I'm actively gaming on my Xbox, never disconnect me and force me to update! Please.

    Short sob story below, please feel free to ignore:

    *I'm playing my favorite fighting game to hate on and just experienced epic(!) comebacks on my part in round one and in round two. Round three starts... And everything freezes and goes black.

    Me: LoL. Ragequit? Xbox: (LOL) Let's start your update!

    My Xbox just gamed me.*

    Casenr: 1031794530 - Xbox App on PC (Win 10) Can't install anything.

    I've read it works for some, for a while, then the problem just comes back (probably when some update comes along). Reinstalling the entire OS can mess up a bunch of other stuff. So no, there's gotta be a better sollution than that. Otherwise, this App should go back into Beta and be sorted internally.

    Randver, as you said yourself! Your GPU gets better over time, with every software/driver update. Give your Xbox One sometime for its updates to start. Plus, it's a lot quicker to update something like the driver for an individual component than it is with
    an entire console OS system. Be patient, young grasshopper!

    No more automatic game and app updates?

    Mine surprises me with updates when I open an app, or load up a game. All settings as they should be, constant internet connection and a more than a hand full of resets to try to fix it.... No dice. Only thing that updates automatically for my system are
    the new OS builds.

    The July update was released weeks ago. Check your OS version it should be 1407.

    If in the preview program your OS will be 1408.
