Original Xbox wireless controller adapter not turning on pc

Hello, wich way you connect your Controller to your PC, with
Original Xbox Wireless Adapter?

Please check these steps below.

What you are seeing with the LEDs is an indication that the Xbox 360 Explorer controller is entering pairing mode, not working mode. In order for the controller to function on your PC, you must first pair it with the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter.

Steps to pair the controller with the wireless adapter:

Connect the wireless adapter: Connect the Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter to a USB port on your PC.

Press the pairing button on the adapter: On the wireless adapter, there is a small button (usually near the USB port). Press and hold this button for a few seconds. The LED on the adapter should start blinking.

Turn on the controller: Press the Xbox button in the center of the controller to turn it on.

If you’re using the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10:

1. Turn on your PC and sign in.
   
2. Plug the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows into your PC. For more info, see
   Set up the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
   
3. Turn on your controller by pressing the
   Xboxbutton. When you turn on the controller, the
   Xbox button will start flashing.
   
4. Press and hold the
   Pair button on the Xbox Wireless Adapter. A small light will flash for several seconds.
   
5. Press and hold the
   Pairbutton on the top of the controller (the raised button). The
   Xbox button on the controller will flash more rapidly – this means your controller is searching for the Xbox Wireless Adapter.
   When connected, the Xbox button on the controller will stay lit.

We understand that you ae having issue with your Xbox wireless controller adapter. As per description, it is not working in the new system, and you have tried reinstalling drivers and other basic troubleshooting.

Let us check on this together and sort this out to assist your concern. However, before we proceed, we would like to ask few questions about it.

1. Can you please clarify what do you refer as new system?
   
2. Have you updated your controller, Xbox app, and Windows to its latest version?
   
3. If this was working before, any activity or changes made prior to the issue?
   
4. Can you test that controller and adapter to another device or PC and see if the same error?
   

These above questions would help us provide the necessary information. Once we have gathered all the information, we will formulate the viable solution to help you with your case.

For the meantime, the basic troubleshooting steps is this.

Reinstall the adapter driver. Please go to Start > Search and click on Device manager. Search for the adapter driver, right click on it and select Uninstall. Restart your computer with the adapter unplugged. After the restart, plug the adapter and the computer will install the driver again.

Or

Go to All Settings, search for "Turn Airplane Mode On". If you'll kindly look at the bottom where "Xbox Wireless" is in the off position, turn it on. Now your controllers will pair correctly with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
