Original Xbox ONE is not showing up on my TV's HDMI ports - HELP???

    Hi all,

On Saturday night my Xbox One was working perfectly fine, but on Sunday evening when I tried turning it on, I noticed that my TV was not detecting any signal from my Xbox on any of the 4 HDMI ports on my TV.

I have had my original Xbox One since it's release many approximately 7 years ago, and it has never broken down etc, yet out of the blue, my Xbox decides to give up on life... I have not moved any of the cables around prior to this problem arising, so it
makes absolutely no sense how this problem started and why it persists.

I have searched Google/YouTube for anything relating to this problem, and none of the results were anything to do with the problem I am experiencing... No-one seems to have a problem where their existing TV fails to detect the Xbox One via HDMI etc.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem actually is, and if so, do you know what the solution is?

    PLEASE HELP!

    :)

Original Xbox ONE is not showing up on my TV's HDMI ports - HELP???

    Hi there.

The first thing to do - albeit seemingly silly - is make sure the HDMI connector going into your Xbox is plugged into the port labeled HDMI Out. The older XBO model has two HDMI ports, one in and one out. Make sure you have the HDMI cable
plugged into the HDMI out port (closest to the power cable I believe).

If you have it in the HDMI Out port and still nothing, it sounds to me as if the Xbox is sending incorrect display signals to your TV. I've found most display issues can be fixed with a simple graphics reset. This won't affect your data or games.
Follow the steps below to reset your video settings back to default.

    ·
First, totally power down your Xbox One by holding the power button on the console for 5-10 seconds. Don’t just tap it; hold the button down.

    ·
Next, turn it back on by holding both the disc eject and power buttons for a good 10-20 seconds. This bit is key: don’t release the buttons when you see the Xbox One light come on; instead, continue holding
the buttons until you hear a second chime
. Also, just keep an eye on your TV screen/monitor — hold those buttons down until you see the green Xbox One start screen.

Your Xbox will then start in a very low-resolution state - 640x480. You'll need to go back into your Xbox settings and re-apply 1080p. Don't worry, if you are having trouble doing this there are plenty
of videos on YouTube showing you how to do so.

Hope this works! If you need more help, don't hesitate to reply here.

    Cheers!

    HDMI from One to laptop

All you do is plug the HDMI from your PC into the HDMI IN port on the back of the console and it will show up as TV on your Xbox One (ie, "Xbox, go to TV" will show you your laptop screen).

    Image too dark

    Thank you for your reply!

Switching the HDMI cable did not help neither did witching the HDMI port at the TV. In fact, switching the port changed a good picture to a dark one. Switching back, the picture at the original port was dark, too. Restart at the original port turned it into a good picture again.

Help getting xbox one to show back up on Vizio tv

If you want to use your xbox to control your tv, then you want to plug your cable box or satellite into the hdmi in port on the xbox one. then you connect the hdmi out port of the xbox one to the hdmi in port on your tv(however to watch tv your xbox one
has to be on for the signal to pass through). I personally do not use the tv function of my xbox one, because I don't want to have to have my xbox on to watch tv. I have my cable box plugged into the hdmi in port of my tv, and my xbox one plugged into another
hdmi in port. Then when I want to play I just switch the input on my tv.
