Original Xbox One Dead

    Original Xbox One Dead


    Tonight, I did a new update to my console (I am on the insider program) and an hour or two later, my console just switched off, and it win't come back on.

    If I unplug the power supply, and have it plugged in on it's own, the light is orange. As soon as I connect it to the console, the light disappears. I believe it is the console itself that has died, and I find it peculiar that it happened so soon after an
    update.

    To make it worse, my copy of FIFA 21 is stuck in the console and I can't eject it.

    Any fixes?

    It could either be a problem in your power supply or your console. Try unplugging the power lead from the mains and from the Xbox for 30 seconds, then plug back in, that resets the trip switch. If that doesn't fix it, I had something similar where I could
    press the power button on the front of the Xbox it would chirp but never lit up and never powered up. Had to send it off for warranty repair, same orange light on power brick and just wouldn't power on. Luckily Microsoft fixed it under warranty repair. If
    none of this works, I would consider sending it in for repairs.

    Mine is the same with the small noise, but it is definitely not under warranty. I bought my console in 2014. I have my Series X on order, but this is just so annoying.

    Thank you for reaching out. Red Dead Redemption 2 is only available on the Xbox One, the original Red Dead however is playable on both consoles.
